If I could make this review one sentence long it would be "It's a necessary book and you should just go read it."
The content of this book is so important for Christian parents. I don't care if your kids are homeschooled, go to public school, private school, whatever. I'm sure they either are or will soon be facing the topics covered in this book.
If you're like me, knowing how to navigate them as a parent feels confusing and complicated. It sure feels easier to sit back and just be reactive if we have to be. But let me encourage you to be proactive about this topic. I think you and your kids will be better off because of it.
In Mama Bear Apologetics: Guide to Sexuality, Ferrer tackles the topic of sexuality from a biblical worldview. She explains what our kids are being taught, being exposed to, and what they're hearing from their peers. She educates parents on how to discuss these hard topics with our kids in a way that they can understand.
This book is not an easy and light read. There are many sections that were uncomfortable and made me want to put the book down and pick up something easier. I did do that a few times. But in the end, I pushed through because I knew this was a book that was necessary for me to read as I parent kids in this day and age.
I encourage you to read it too! It will be worth it to be informed.
